TW Construction provided structural strengthening and accessibility upgrades to enhance the Haumoana Hall’s building’s functionality and community access. The structural strengthening works inserting new structural reinforcing beams in the roof by Patton Engineering and installing a new ground beam under the floor. A structural portal tied to the ground beam was installed, which involved excavating under the existing building and pouring concrete for the structural portal.
To provide better accessibility for the community, new ramps were built, railings were installed, and a new exit was created to improve safety. TW Construction alongside Hastings District Council managed the entire project, overseeing tasks such as bathroom upgrades, which included new walls and relining.
TW Roofing, TW Electrical, and TW Plumbing contributed by completing exterior corrugated panelling, installing new lighting, and handling septic and stormwater systems. This project not only strengthened the building structurally but also significantly improved its accessibility and overall usability for the community.
