Heritage meets modern functionality in our recently completed commercial fit-out of this historic building for local Hastings business, Te Rae (Hawke’s Bay Business Hub). The design integrates the building’s rich history, boasting a stunning open foyer that blends old and new. From intricate door detailing to fibre cement panels with rust textured paint, suspended metal mesh ceilings, and terrazzo-styled floor tiles, every element of the building provides a distinctive style. Heritage photos, showcasing its pre-1931 earthquake connection, add depth and character to the space. Inside, the use of exposed concrete in the office areas continues the industrial-modern theme, further complemented by open-plan social spaces.
